LMS Campus — Google Ads Integration

LMS Campus is a learning management and admissions platform for coaching centres, training academies and skill-development institutes in India. Its Marketing module lets an institute connect their own Google Ads account and run Google Search campaigns without leaving the system that already holds their enquiries, students and fee records.

LMS Campus is a product of Grats Technologies Private Limited (gratsit.com).

Why a learning platform runs ads at all

An institute already records every stage of an admission inside LMS Campus — the enquiry, the counsellor follow-up, the demo class, the admission, the fee payment. What it cannot normally see is which advertising produced any of it. The ad spend lives in Google Ads, the student who enrolled lives in the LMS, and nothing joins the two.

Closing that gap is the entire purpose of this integration. Because LMS Campus holds both halves, it can answer the question a standalone advertising tool cannot: which campaign produced the admissions we actually collected fees for.

What the integration does

  • Connects your own account. The institute authorises their own Google Ads account. Accounts we find arrive switched off, and stay off until someone explicitly enables the one that should be used.
  • Creates Search campaigns. Write one brief — goal, ad copy, landing page, cities, search keywords, daily budget and dates — and LMS Campus builds the budget, campaign, location targeting, ad group, keywords and responsive search ad.
  • Nothing goes live by accident. Every campaign is created paused, and begins spending only after a second, explicit confirmation on a review screen showing the real budget total.
  • Manages what is running. Pause, resume, change budgets, and read back approval and policy status from Google.
  • Reports against outcomes. Daily spend, impressions, clicks and conversions per campaign, joined to the enquiries and admissions they produced — cost per lead, cost per admission, and return on ad spend measured against fees actually collected.

What data we request, and why

When an institute connects their account, LMS Campus asks Google for permission to manage Google Ads on their behalf (the adwords permission). We use it for exactly four things, all of them on the account the institute chose:

  1. List the ad accounts you have granted us, so you can choose which one to use.
  2. Create the campaigns you configure in our composer.
  3. Pause, resume and adjust the budgets of those campaigns when you ask us to.
  4. Read daily performance figures for those campaigns, to build your reports.

We also request your basic Google profile — name and email address — for one reason only: so the screen can show you which Google account is connected.

We do not access your billing or payment details, create or close advertising accounts, change account-level settings, touch accounts you have not enabled, or use your advertising data for anything beyond your own reports. It is never sold, never shared with other institutes, and never used to train AI models.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Your account, your money

Each institute advertises from their own Google Ads account and is billed by Google directly. We do not pool advertising accounts, do not resell advertising, take no share of your ad spend, and never place our own payment method on your account. What you pay us is your LMS Campus subscription, which costs the same whether you advertise or not.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time from Marketing → Ad Accounts inside LMS Campus, which deletes the authorisation we hold. You can also revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting changes nothing inside your Google Ads account — campaigns created through LMS Campus continue to exist and remain fully editable in Google’s own tools.

Who can use it

The Marketing module is available to LMS Campus customers on a plan that includes it, and only to the institute’s own owner and the administrative staff they authorise. Students, parents and instructors have no access to it.
